TVS Jupiter CNG: In a major move to combat rising fuel costs, Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company is preparing to launch the world’s first CNG-powered scooter, the TVS Jupiter CNG. TVS Jupiter CNG will feature dual-fuel support, allowing it to run on both compressed natural gas (CNG) and petrol. This setup could potentially double fuel savings for riders, especially in cities where petrol prices continue to rise.
Expected Launch Timeline
TVS unveiled the concept version of the TVS Jupiter CNG at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 held earlier this year in January. As per sources close to the company, the official launch is likely to happen by late 2025 or early 2026. Alongside this, TVS is also working on other upcoming models including the iQube electric scooter upgrade and the RTX 300 adventure bike, but Jupiter CNG remains one of the most anticipated.

The upcoming scooter will be powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, delivering 7.2 bhp of power and 9.4 Nm of torque. It will come equipped with a CVT automatic gearbox, making it ideal for city commuting. The scooter’s top speed is expected to be 30.5 kmph, suitable for short urban rides.
