Mahindra has introduced new Bold Edition variants for both the Bolero (Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition) and the Bolero Neo (Mahindra Bolero Neo Bold Edition), giving these popular SUVs a fresh and rugged appearance. Even after over 20 years in the market, the Bolero continues to be a favorite in rural and semi-urban India thanks to its tough build and practical utility. These new editions aim to reinforce that appeal with a visual update, while keeping the mechanical aspects unchanged.
Visual Tweaks Set the Bold Edition Apart
On Mahindra’s official website, both Bold Edition models have now been listed, confirming their arrival. The Bolero Neo Bold Edition stands out with a striking Napoli Black exterior, complemented by dark chrome accents in place of the standard shiny trim. It also gains roof rails for a more adventurous look, while the interior sports an all-black theme, including new black seat upholstery.

Adding to passenger comfort, Mahindra includes a comfort kit with black pillows and neck cushions. A rear-view camera has also been added, improving ease of parking—an appreciated addition for city and town drivers alike.

Performance Remains Unchanged
Under the hood, the Bolero Neo Bold Edition retains its 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine, delivering 98 bhp and 260 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Like the standard model, it continues to offer a seven-seat configuration with side-facing jump seats in the third row.
The standard Bolero Bold Edition, meanwhile, keeps the same diesel engine but with slightly lower output—75 bhp and 210 Nm of torque—also paired with a manual transmission that drives the rear wheels.

Exclusive Features for the Standard Bolero Too
In the standard Bolero’s Bold Edition, the main upgrades are cosmetic. It features blacked-out bumpers, dark chrome elements, and black seat covers, replacing the usual beige ones. These updates enhance its rugged character while maintaining the simplicity that buyers love.

Expected Price Premium and Availability
While Mahindra hasn’t officially disclosed pricing for either Bold Edition variant, they are expected to cost around ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 more than their standard counterparts. These editions will likely appeal to customers looking for a more stylish take on their dependable workhorse.
