Toyota has officially revealed the sixth-generation RAV4 (Toyota RAV4), bringing a bold new chapter to one of its best-selling global models. Designed exclusively with hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains for the European market, the new Toyota RAV4 showcases an updated exterior, improved handling, and extended electric driving capabilities.
Electrified Powertrains and Dynamic Driving Experience
The latest Toyota RAV4 is offered in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, with powertrain options optimized for performance and efficiency. One of the key highlights is the enhanced plug-in hybrid system, now equipped with a robust 22.7 kWh lithium-ion battery—a significant upgrade from the previous 18.1 kWh pack. This allows the SUV to deliver up to 100 kilometres of electric-only driving range (WLTP).
In terms of charging, the Toyota RAV4 PHEV now includes an 11 kW AC onboard charger, cutting charging times nearly in half. Additionally, DC fast charging at 50 kW enables a 10-80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.

GR Sport Variant Adds a Performance Edge
The lineup includes a new GR Sport trim, aimed at drivers who crave a sportier drive. This variant features a 20 mm wider rear track, enhanced suspension tuning, a reinforced rear cross-member, and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels with performance tyres. The result is sharper cornering, improved body control, and a more dynamic presence on the road.

Improvements in electric motors, transaxles, and inverters provide better thermal management, smoother throttle response, and enhanced energy regeneration during braking—especially in PHEV models.
