Nissan India has rolled out a new CNG retrofit solution for its popular compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite. The government-approved CNG kit is developed by Motozen, and installation will only be permitted at authorized fitment centers across the country.
CNG Kit Priced at ₹74,999 with Standard Warranty
Customers choosing the CNG retrofit will need to pay an additional ₹74,999 over the ex-showroom price of the vehicle. This includes a 3-year or 1,00,000 km warranty, directly provided by Motozen, ensuring peace of mind for buyers switching to cleaner fuel alternatives.
Available Only for the 1.0-Litre NA Petrol Manual Variant
The Nissan Magnite CNG upgrade is strictly limited to the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol manual variant of the Magnite. It is not compatible with other versions such as the AMT, turbo-petrol manual, or CVT automatic trims.
The 1.0-litre NA petrol engine delivers 72 hp and 96 Nm of torque in its standard petrol configuration. Nissan has yet to release performance figures for the engine when running on CNG.

Pricing: Magnite CNG Variant Starts at ₹6.89 Lakh
The base price for the Nissan Magnite starts at ₹6.14 lakh (ex-showroom). With the CNG kit added, the cost increases to approximately ₹6.89 lakh, offering an affordable alternative for fuel-conscious Indian consumers.
A Greener Option for Budget SUV Buyers
This new CNG option makes the Magnite one of the few compact SUVs in India with a factory-backed CNG retrofit. It caters to buyers looking for better fuel economy, lower running costs, and reduced emissions — without sacrificing warranty support or safety standards.
